Nice, quiet, wonderful. Some sites are a little short. Lake was beautiful. My only complaint was that the showers are push button operated, so you get a few minutes of water, then you have to push the button again. Also, no control of the water temperature. But it's a rustic park, so there you go!

This is a very nice campground, with about 85% of the campers being permanent. It is beautifully kept, and that was the only problem I encountered - the first day, the dumpster was emptied with a great deal of clanging and banging at 6 a.m. The next three days, the weed eater, lawnmower or edger started promptly at 7 a.m. I like to relax and sleep in when I am on vacation, so that did not suit me. Other than that, the campground is wonderful.

Typical KOA in that it is right on the road. But it was neat and clean, nice amenities, pancake breakfast and cookout at night.

If you want to camp with a view of the lake, this is the place for you. The staff was very nice and made all our arrangements for a boat tour. The laundry was nice and not very expensive. The Wi-Fi worked about 75% of the time. No phone service much. No TV without a satellite (they do not have cable). Very large, level, cement pads and a nice amount of space between the sites. You have to pay for your showers, $2 for 15 minutes, and I thought that was a little much considering this is not a cheap place to stay. But it is AZ, after all. A mixed bag, but I would stay here again.

The view is fabulous. It's close enough to town to be convenient, but far enough away to be quiet. It is within five miles of Arches National Park. When we first arrived, I was disappointed in our space because they had put us right by the bathroom and I had made my reservation in January. But when we questioned it, they moved us right away to the spot of our choice. Then we really drove them crazy by deciding we'd really rather have another spot, and they let us move again. The staff was very friendly, the bathrooms were very clean and plenty of hot water. The sites were a little close together, but no worse than most commercial parks. I would stay there again for sure.

Yes, there is a lot of blowing red dirt here. And the staff is not the friendliest ever. But you sure can't beat the view, it's really quiet and it's really the only option around Monument Valley. I don't think I'd like to spend a week here, but a couple nights would be just fine.

There was medium road noise. Staff was friendly and helpful. Sites are pretty close together. They say they have wi-fi but it is such a bad connection you really can't use it. Ok for just an overnight stop.

This is a beautiful place to stay. The campground is situated about two miles North of Durango, so it is convenient if you want to ride the train or go to Mesa Verde. It is surrounded by red rock hills and is just beautiful and very well maintained. The bathrooms are spotless. The staff was very helpful. When we first arrived, the camper next door said we would not be able to have our dog outside because his wife was afraid of dogs. We went to the office and told them about it and they moved us immediately. They also have a nice system where they meet you at the gate when you first arrive, and if you have a reservation, they guide you to your site and ask you to register after you get settled. They have a five acre fenced area at the front where your dog can run. If I was going to say anything negative about the place, it would be that they have mostly side by side hookups. But they seemed to try to leave space wherever possible.

This place if fabulous. Right on the river, lots of birdwatching, nice, shady sites, the train passes right by, within walking distance of town, friendly staff, clean restroom with plenty of hot water - it's almost heaven. I would have stayed forever if they hadn't told me they get 20 feet of snow in winter!

When we first got to this park, I would have given it a 5 at best. I was very disappointed because I read so many reviews that said how quiet it was and how wonderful it was. They must have been deaf. We got a site near the highway and the traffic noise was very annoying. When I asked to be moved, I was told that the traffic would get quieter at night (not really) and that they did not have any sites open (they did). I made my reservation in January, so I felt I should have had one of the better sites in the back. In addition, the people in the camper behind us were so close, their awning literally touched our slide. Having said all that, the staff was super nice, the place was spotless, so I had to give it a little higher than a 5. If you want a park that is right in town, this is the place for you.

Very nice park - very clean and the hosts were very helpful and friendly. The only bad thing about it is that it is on the interstate, and you can hear the traffic all the time. But that's the price you pay for convenience, I guess.

This place is fabulous - you are within seven miles of Nashville, but you'd never know it. So quiet. Lots of nice, shady spaces - there isn't a bad site in the place. Lots of room to walk your dog. Staff is friendly. The folks that keep the place clean are truly to be commended - the restrooms were spotless and they came around every few days and raked the spaces and blew the leaves off the pads. Just wonderful - I hesitate to rave about it because I'm afraid there won't be room for us next time we want to go back!

People were very nice. Good area to throw the ball for your dog. Some highway noise.

This place is clean and well kept. No noise from the other campers. And it is the closest park to the Big Texan restaurant, which I would heartily recommend - they even have limo service from the campground to the restaurant and back, which is great if you don't want to unhook. All that being said, it is very noisy with I40 running right by and truck noise all night. But I didn't see any other park in Amarillo that was any better, so I would stay here again.

What a dump. Located right beside Interstate 40 behind the Days Inn, it was just a parking lot. The girl at the check-in was downright unfriendly. There was wi-fi, but I was never able to get it to connect. Ugh - I'd never stay here again unless I was desperate.

This is a very nice park and everyone was helpful and courteous. The sites are nicely spaced and are not right on top of each other. There is a resort adjacent to the park and the food in the restaurant there was wonderful. Beautiful sunsets and lots of big grassy areas to walk your dog. They also have disc golf and a museum. The only thing I thought was a little disappointing was that they say they have cable TV, but that only consists of about eight stations, four of which are network stations.

This is a tiny little park in the middle of nowhere, but it is very pretty. The campsites are along a beautiful lake filled with hugh cypress trees. The park is spotless and there was firewood cut and free for the taking. They have an old, working grist mill to see and canoes to rent. We were only passing thru on our way home and stayed one night, but we would definitely go back.

This is a beautiful park on the Cumberland River, but it is very low in excitement. If you are looking for a nice, quiet place to stay while you go to Cumberland Falls, this is the place for you. We had a nice pull thru site, but a lot of the sites were located side by side, which some people might not like. I would definitely stay here again. The golf course is closed right now, which was a disappointment, but is scheduled to reopen in 2008.

This campground is at a resort park with a nice golf course and a beautiful lodge - all of which are on the water. Although Kentucky Lake is huge, none of the campsites are on the water. This park must have been built when campers were smaller, because a lot of the sites are very small. We made our reseration in December for October, but when we got to the park, someone was in our space. There was no one at the park to oversee anything (typical of KY parks) and we didn't know what to do as the people in our spot were not at the site when we arrived. If our neighbor camper had not had a number to call, we would have been in a mess. We called the Lodge and a fellow came out and was very apologetic, but could not move the camper in our space without them being there. It was very aggravating since we had had our reservation for so long, but in all fairness to the person in our space, the space was not marked in any way as reserved. Fortunately, the person showed up shortly and moved without any trouble, but I don't know what we would have done if they hadn't, since everything was full at the time. In the end, we enjoyed our time at this park, but it really has seen better days.

We stayed here because of the golf course, which was very nice. The lodge and restaurant were also nice. We went to Bowling Green to the Corvette Museum and that was only about 20 minutes away and Mammoth Cave, which was about 30 minutes away, but other than that, there is nothing in the area and nothing in the campground to do or see. We got one TV channel, since we do not have a satellite. The trouble that we encountered here and at every KY State Park that we stayed at, was that there is no ranger presence of any kind. When we got to the park, there was no one at the gate and we did not see anyone there until the weekend, so if you have any trouble, there is no one there to resolve it.

We reserved a site at the front of the park, but when we got there, they let us move to a better one on the stream. Very conveniently located to the Blue Ridge Parkway. They are very strict about their rules, but pleasant about it. Sites are very close together. They have a dog walk, but it is a very narrow strip at the front of the park. While we were there, they had a band one night and it was a lot of fun. The laundry and bath areas were spotless. It is not my favorite place to stay due to the spaces being so close together, but all in all, I would stay there again.

There are not very many sites, but they are well spaced and shady. The restrooms and showers were clean and well lit. Everyone was friendly. Their is a really nice swimming beach with a sandy area and no wake zone. Several playgrounds and boat ramps. And the golf course was excellent - beautiful views, hilly and challenging without being impossible. I would definitely stay here again.

This campground is in the middle of nowhere, but that is some of it's appeal. So quiet, great staff, just wonderful. And the bathhouse is spotless and lots of hot water.

This could really be a nice place, but the staff just doesn't seem to care about anything. The bathhouse is always less than appealing and hot water is almost unheard of. Their reservation policy is really weird too - you can only reserve a spot on the road, otherwise you have to take your chances. And if you make a reservation and then want to change it, they do not let you apply the reservation fee to the spot - you have to pay twice.

Quiet and peaceful and very buggy! I would really like this campground, but there was absolutely no hot water in the bathhouse. There was just about no one else there, so there was no one to use it up - there just wasn't any!

This is a small campground but you cannot beat it. It is hands down one of the nicest places I have ever camped. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the bathhouse is just wonderful. You get your own little place with a shower, toilet and dressing area with a locking door - just heaven. And it is only 10 minutes from downtown Asheville, but you would never know it - it is so quiet and peaceful. And everyone seems to love dogs - I would stay here every time I am in the area.
